Dr. Christos Lazaridis

Biography

Christos Lazaridis, MD, is a Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Chicago. He has extensive expertise in neurocritical care, focusing on the management of critically ill neurological and neurosurgical patients. Dr. Lazaridis is particularly interested in neuromonitoring and the ethical considerations surrounding neurocritical care. He is passionate about education and actively enjoys teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in general neuro-critical care. His educational background includes training in Critical Care Medicine at the University of Toronto and Neurotrauma Critical Care at Cambridge University. He completed his residency in Neurocritical Care at Johns Hopkins University and holds an MD in Medicine from Pécs University Medical School. Dr. Lazaridis's research and clinical interests encompass a range of topics, including trauma management and palliative care in neurocritical settings.
