Biography

Chrysi Stavropoulou graduated from the National Capodistrian University of Athens in Greece with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2013. She pursued her passion for periodontology at the University of Manitoba, obtaining her Master of Dentistry in Periodontics in 2018. Dr. Stavropoulou entered academia in 2019, taking on the role of Program Director for the Graduate Periodontics Program. She is dedicated to facilitating students’ growth, combining technical knowledge with the development of emotional strength and a caring attitude. Dr. Stavropoulou is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She is also a member of the Canadian Academy of Periodontology and an international member of both the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Dental Education Association. Her research interests lie in periodontology and dental implantology, with a focus on oral-systemic relationships and peri-implant diseases.
