Dr. Chun Kim

Biography

Chun Il Kim is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta. He has an extensive background in Mechanical Engineering with research interests in the areas of mechanics, materials, elasticity, solid mechanics, composites, polymers, nano and micro materials, biomechanics, biomedical engineering, sensors, human mechanical systems, and biomaterials. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Alberta and has held a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley. His work has significantly contributed to various fields, particularly in understanding material behaviors and applications in engineering. He has published numerous papers and is actively involved in advancing the education and knowledge in the mechanical engineering domain.
