Biography

Cicero earned his Medical degree from the State University of Londrina, Brazil, and completed Radiology residency training at Santa Marcelina Hospital in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He then undertook a 2-year fellowship in Pediatric Radiology at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, followed by another 2-year fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. He served as a consultant Pediatric Radiologist at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, before joining the Yale School of Medicine in 2008. Currently a Professor in the department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging and section chief of Pediatric Radiology, his appointment includes a full-time position at Yale New Haven Hospital, providing clinical services to children in New Haven County. His research interests are broad and he has received the Walter E. Berdon awards for several papers published in the Journal of Pediatric Radiology, focusing on ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging, and computed tomography. Cicero is passionate about teaching, having been recognized with awards for his excellence in teaching.
