Biography

Cindy Miller has been practicing pediatric radiology for 17 years and began attending the section on thoracic imaging 9 years ago. She has maintained her enthusiasm in pediatric imaging by serving as a reviewer for two journals and as a Consulting Editor for a major journal. She continues to give resident lectures on pediatric topics. Dr. Miller strives to carve a niche in a fairly narrow area of congenital malformations and their appearances in adulthood. Her research interests have changed over time and she is currently involved in projects related to sickle cell disease and cystic fibrosis. Her work includes defining imaging characteristics in patients diagnosed with acute chest syndrome and exploring the coexistence of pathologies. Dr. Miller has a strong interest in developing curriculum for medical students focusing on caring for patients with chronic diseases and disabilities.
