Biography

After obtaining her veterinary degree from the École Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort in 2008, Claire Vergneau-Grosset completed an internship in zoological medicine at the Université de Montréal in 2009 and a residency in zoological medicine for exotic companion animals at the University of California, Davis, from 2011 to 2014. She became a diplomate of the American College of Zoological Medicine in 2014. Claire worked as a clinician in aquatic animal medicine at the University of California, Davis, until 2015 and then as a teaching clinician in zoological medicine at the Université de Montréal from 2015 to 2019. Her research expertise includes the medicine, reproduction, and welfare of ectothermic animals, birds, and small mammals. She is involved in various professional organizations and serves on committees related to animal care and veterinary practices.
