Biography

Clara Fonteneau graduated with a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Lyon in France, where she studied under the supervision of Dr. MF Suaud-Chagny at the PSYR2 Team of the Lyon Neuroscience Research Center. Her thesis work focused on understanding the brain mechanisms underlying transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in both healthy and clinical populations. Specifically, she investigated the mechanistic level regarding the impact of frontal tDCS montages on the dopaminergic system, combining tDCS with imaging techniques like PET, resting-state fMRI, ASL, and DTI. Currently, she is working as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Anticevic Lab affiliated with the Division of Neurocognition, Neurocomputation & Neurogenetics (N3) at Yale University. Her research involves translational approaches using computational models and multimodal neuroimaging to explore common mechanisms in neuropsychiatric disorders as well as individual variability among patients.
