Professor Dr. Clara Sandelind

Biography

Clara Sandelind is a Lecturer in Political Theory at the University of Manchester, having joined the Department of Politics in 2020. Previously, she was a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow at the University of Sheffield and worked as a Lecturer in Politics at the University of Huddersfield. Her research focuses on politics, ethics, migration, asylum, and nationalism. Clara is particularly interested in questions of methodology in political theory, feminist theory, and liberalism. She engages with the UN Sustainable Development Goals as a framework to understand the implications of political theory in addressing global challenges. Clara collaborates on various projects related to political theory and actively participates in research networks that enhance the understanding of these complex topics.
