Dr. Clare Grant

Biography

Clare Grant is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of New South Wales, specializing in the arts and media. She has been actively involved in theater, radio, and film for several years, having worked with various Sydney-based companies to devise new theatrical works. Clare was a founding member of the Sydney Front in 1987 and has contributed to numerous performance pieces, such as the solo performance 'Woman Wall,' presented in Sydney and New Zealand. She served as Co-director and Artistic Director of Playworks from 1994 to 1997, has been associated with the Theatre Committee of the NSW Arts Advisory Council, and worked with the Theatre Fund of the Australia Council. Notable works include 'Burn Sonata' (1998), 'Inland Sea' (2000), and 'Laquiem' (1999). Her collaborations extend to film, notably with 'Mary Stuart Tapes,' showcased at major film festivals. Clare has published an archival project on the Sydney Front, which includes an 8-pack collection of DVDs and archival documents.
