Biography

Clare Morgan is a novelist and short story writer whose interdisciplinary research interests currently focus on creative writing and the relationship between literature and business. She gained her MPhil and DPhil from Lady Margaret Hall and holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia. Morgan has taught British Literature from the nineteenth century to the present day at Christ Church and has designed and implemented the Master of Studies in Creative Writing at the University of Oxford, where she currently serves as Course Director. Morgan’s notable works include her novel 'Book' (2011) and 'Poetry Brings Business' (2010), the latter focusing on the interplay between poetic thinking and business strategy. She actively engages in research projects, such as ‘Living Rivers,’ which examines the role of creative writing in environmental issues. Morgan is a regular speaker and workshop leader, sharing her expertise in creative writing and literature across various venues globally. Her contributions to the field have led to a vibrant community of writers and established a significant presence in creative writing education.
