Biography

Clare Putnam Pozos is a seasoned lecturer at Penn Carey Law, having also served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the nation's largest district. In her role, she was the second-ranking official in the U.S. Attorney’s Office, overseeing various federal investigations and prosecutions involving securities, commodities, insurance, healthcare, and complex frauds, including insider trading and cybercrime. With over a decade of experience as a trial lawyer, she has been lead counsel in numerous trials and has prosecuted hundreds of cases. Clare has received significant recognition for her investigative work, including multiple Special Achievement Awards from the Office of National Drug Control Policy. She was named to City & State’s 2021 “Pennsylvania 40 Under 40” and featured in the “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by Legal Intelligencer in 2019. In addition to her role in legal practice, she is an active board member of multiple foundations and organizations in Philadelphia, including TouchPoint Inc., Lankenau Medical Center Foundation, and Agnes Irwin School.
