Dr. Clark Gibson

Biography

Clark C. Gibson is a Professor of Political Science at the University of California, San Diego, and co-director of the Center for African Political Economy. His research primarily focuses on the politics of democracy and development, with particular emphasis on foreign aid, elections, political accountability, political institutions, and environmental issues. He has conducted extensive research on Africa and has explored topics in Central and South America, Asia, and the United States. Professor Gibson has authored and edited six books and has written dozens of articles and book chapters throughout his academic career.
