Biography

Claudia Côté is an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University in the Division of Cardiac Surgery. She obtained her Bachelor of Science from McGill University and subsequently earned her Medical Degree and a Master of Health Administration. Dr. Côté completed her residency in Cardiac Surgery at Dalhousie University. She has pursued specialized fellowships focused on Aortic Valve Repair and Transcatheter Valve Replacement, including training at L'Hôpital Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris, France under the mentorship of Professor Emmanuel Lansac, as well as at the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montreal with mentorship from Dr. Jessica Forcillo. Her research interests include transcatheter valve techniques and advancing clinical programs in cardiac surgery. Dr. Côté's commitment to research and teaching, alongside her technical skills, make her a valuable addition to the surgical team.
