Biography

Claudia Horn is a lecturer in International Political Economy at King’s College London, where she joined the Department of European & International Studies (EIS) in September 2025. She previously lectured on Environmental Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies at Brandeis University, MA, USA. Claudia completed her PhD in International Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her research spans international and environmental studies, focusing on the sociology of grounded approaches. She examines the relationship between environmental politics, climate finance, and uneven development, particularly how international green strategies affect agrarian conflict among traditional populations. Claudia is currently revising her book manuscript, "Money Grows Trees: European Carbon Politics in the Brazilian Amazon," which critically analyzes G7 environmental aid in the region. Her forthcoming publication, "Herbarium Rosa Luxemburg: Radical Ecology and the Global Plantation," will explore radical ecological themes and was published by Books in April 2026.
