Biography

Claudia Zichi studied Classical Philology at the University of Pisa and earned her PhD in 2018 from Lund University, her thesis focusing on Poetic Diction and Poetic References in Plato's Laws. She has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Swedish Institute in Rome and Bristol University. Between 2020 and 2021, she served as a Lecturer in Greek at Uppsala University. Currently, she is a Project Manager for DN MSCA AntCom: Antiquity Community, a Horizon Europe project that explores the role of classical heritage in shaping modern, plural, and diverse European identities. Her main research interests lie in the poetic-rhetorical qualities of Plato's works and philosophical-literary readings. Presently, she is researching the sociopolitical role of women in Plato's Laws.
