Biography

Claudio Cipollini is an Assistant Professor of Tax & Technology at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in Distributed Ledger Technologies, including Blockchain. He leads the Amsterdam Centre for Tax Law's research project on 'Designing tax systems for a Cashless, Platform-based, Technology-driven society'. Claudio graduated with honors in law from the University of Pisa in Italy in 2005 and obtained his Ph.D. in law from Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands in 2019. He has previously served as a postdoctoral research fellow at Heidelberg University in Germany and as an adjunct professor of European Taxation Law at the University of Rome 'La Sapienza' in Italy. Claudio is an admitted tax lawyer to the Italian Supreme Court and is a founding partner of RCLex, a law firm based in La Spezia, Italy.
