Dr. Claudius Hammann

Biography

Professor Claudius Hammann specializes in Fire Science Engineering at the Technical University of Munich. His research areas include performance-based fire protection, fire risk engineering, and the associated human-machine interfaces. His work addresses the social context of resource utilization in preventive and defensive fire protection, especially in relation to building components and materials, energy storage forms, and aerospace industry applications. With 15 years of experience in preventive defensive fire protection and special construction measures, Professor Hammann completed his doctorate at TUM with a distinction in risk analysis of complex systems. He also participated in a data science program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His expertise extends to the analysis of safety systems and the methodology for data risk quantification, focusing on fire protection. Professor Hammann is actively involved in research related to building regulations and fire safety measures, contributing significantly to the field.
