Biography

Claus Jacobs specializes in creative strategizing and strategic change. He is the director and founder of Critical Junctures, a Swiss-based consultancy that offers process consultation, strategy formation, and organizational development change. Claus holds a PhD from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and a Master's degree in Business Economic Studies from Witten/Herdecke University, Germany. He has worked as a management consultant and executive educator at the Imagination Lab Foundation in Lausanne, and at the Universities of St Gallen and Bern, as well as Gemini Consulting. His collaborations include organizations such as Arvato, Bombardier, Celgene, CERN, LGT Venture Philanthropy, and UNICEF Germany. He is also co-director at the University of Bern's KPM Center for Public Management. Since 2005, Claus has been contributing to the Oxford Strategic Leadership Programme as a faculty tutor, where he and colleagues explore the role of critical thinking in leadership development. His research centers on strategy work in pluralistic settings and public management governance, with multiple publications in respected journals including Organization Studies, Journal of Management Studies, and MIT Sloan Management Review.
