Biography

Clémence Fauteux-Lefebvre received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2015. Her graduate studies focused on the development of new catalysts for hydrogen production through steam reforming and gas desulfurization. She pursued a postdoctoral fellowship specializing in Process Analytical Technologies in Pharmaceutical Engineering at Pfizer. In July 2017, she joined the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Ottawa as an Assistant Professor. Her research is centered on sustainable catalysis processes aimed at reducing undesirable products, maximizing by-product valorization, conserving energy, and eliminating pollutants. Prof. Fauteux-Lefebvre aims to develop versatile catalysts that can adapt to a wide range of operating conditions and fluctuations in reaction processes. Her research interests include versatile catalysts, multi-phase reaction characterization, multifunctional materials, and sustainable processes.
