Clive Dickinson is a professor of astrophysics at the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics within the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester. He obtained a Master of Physics with honors in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Manchester in 1999 and followed this with a PhD in radio astronomy at the Jodrell Bank Observatory in 2002. He has held several research positions, including a postdoctoral role at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and a staff scientist position at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. In 2008, he received an STFC Advanced Fellowship to continue his research at Manchester. His research focuses on understanding radio and microwave emissions, particularly regarding cosmic microwave background (CMB) and intensity mapping experiments. He has participated in several world-leading CMB experiments and has extensive expertise in data analysis and imaging techniques. In recognition of his work, he received the Royal Astronomical Society's Michael Penston Prize for his thesis on diffuse Galactic radiation and CMB observations. Clive is actively involved in educational outreach and aims to increase public understanding of astrophysics and cosmology.
