Biography

Colette Chiu received her Master of Science from the University of British Columbia. She works as a Research Assistant in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at UBC. Her research expertise lies in molecular biology, microscopy, and animal models. Currently, Ms. Chiu is working on the generation and characterization of Rhodopsin knockout RPE65 knock-in Xenopus laevis. Ms. Chiu has a strong interest in retinal degeneration, cell biology, and photoreceptors, and she actively engages in research that contributes to the understanding of these areas.
