Biography

Colin joined the University of Victoria's Faculty of Law in 1998, previously teaching at the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University. He has held a visiting fellowship at the Centre for Law and Society at the University of Edinburgh. In 2002, he received a joint appointment in the Department of Philosophy and the Faculty of Law. His work focuses on jurisprudence, children's rights, moral political philosophy, and theories of justice. He has edited and authored several significant publications on the philosophical foundations of civic education, the intersection of morality and democracy, and the implications of rights for children's well-being. Colin is interested in supervising graduate students on topics related to jurisprudence, children's rights, distributive justice, and democratic theory.
