Biography

Colleen Andrews is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She serves as the Assistant Director of Medical Student Education and as the Assistant Block Leader for Acute Care. Dr. Andrews has a strong background in global health, having completed her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Global Health at Columbia University, which emphasized maternal and child nutrition in rural Nepal. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin and completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Stroger Hospital Cook County, where she was the chief resident in her final year. Following her residency, Dr. Andrews completed a fellowship at Boston Medical Center focused on Global Local Health Equity, where her work concentrated on immigrant and refugee health as well as reproductive health care. Besides her academic pursuits, Dr. Andrews enjoys activities such as yoga, cooking, running, and traveling.
