Biography

Colleen St Clair has been a member of the University of Alberta academic staff since 1998, contributing significantly to the Faculty of Science, particularly in Biological Sciences. She holds a B.Sc. with Distinction from the University of Alberta, an M.Sc. from the University of Canterbury, and a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma. With a focus on behavioral ecology, conservation biology, and urban ecology, her research encompasses the complexities of human-wildlife interactions in both urban and rural environments. Her contributions have garnered recognition, including the Community Scholar Award from the University of Alberta and the ASTech Award for Outstanding Achievement in Environmental Sustainability. In addition to her research, she is an active instructor, teaching courses in behavioral ecology, conservation biology, and advanced ecology. St Clair is dedicated to engaging the community and providing opportunities for students to engage in research that addresses public interest issues.
