Biography

Conal Monaghan earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Australian National University in 2019. He holds a marketing major in international business and currently works as a clinical psychologist at headspace Canberra. He is also involved with PARSA’s PhD bootcamps and lectures at the ANU Research School of Psychology. Conal teaches clinical assessment statistics in the Master of Professional Practice program and psychometrics in the clinical psychology program. His research interests are focused on clinical assessment, dimensional models of personality disorders, and clinician well-being, aiming to enhance youth and adolescent mental health. He has lived and conducted research in Trondheim, Norway, and Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and has presented his findings at various national and international conferences. Conal has received the NTNU promising young researcher award and the Steven Klimidis award in clinical psychology. He is currently engaged in writing his PhD thesis and supervising research students at ANU.
