Biography

Connie Kasari is a distinguished professor at UCLA School of Education and Information Studies, where she has taught graduate and undergraduate courses and has served as the primary advisor to over 70 Ph.D. students. She is a founding member of the Center for Autism Research and Treatment at UCLA. Her research focuses on the development of novel, evidence-tested interventions that are implemented in community settings. Recent projects include targeted treatments for early social communication development in at-risk infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with autism, as well as fostering peer relationships in school-aged children with autism. Dr. Kasari has led multi-site federally funded projects that investigate the efficacy of interventions for children with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
