Dr. Connie Scozzaro

Biography

Connie Scozzaro, born in London, is an Assistant Professor of English at Brown University, where she joined in 2020. She specializes in Renaissance literature and culture, with a focus on the history of sexuality, law, feminist studies, and queer studies. Scozzaro is currently preparing a book project titled 'Ecstatic Force: Violation Inwardness in Early Modern England.' Her articles have appeared or are forthcoming in several prestigious journals including Shakespeare Quarterly, Modern Language Quarterly, Exemplaria, Modern Philology, and Renaissance Drama. She holds a B.A. from the University of Cambridge, an M.A. from the University of Sussex, and a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University.
