Biography

Conny Quaedflieg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neuropsychology & Psychopharmacology at Maastricht University. With a research career initiated in 2010, Conny focuses on the effects of stress on the brain and has developed the iMAST paradigm to investigate stress processing in neuroimaging environments. His research delves into neurofeedback techniques aimed at enhancing stress resilience and explores the intricate relationship between stress and memory, particularly under specific timing conditions. He has worked under the esteemed guidance of Professor Schwabe at Hamburg University, further enriching his expertise in the field. Conny has a strong foundation in EEG and MEG methodologies, allowing for state-of-the-art research in neuropsychology. His academic journey includes a postdoctoral role in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Hamburg, followed by significant time at Maastricht University as a PhD student focusing on stress resilience. He holds a Master's in Cognitive Clinical Neuroscience and a Bachelor's in Psychology, both from Maastricht University, with his early work highlighting the effects of pharmacological agents on cognitive processing.
