Biography

Conor Morrissey holds BA, MA, and LLB degrees from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and completed his PhD at Trinity College Dublin in 2015. He was awarded a Trinity Irish Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship from 2015 to 2016 and served as a Departmental Lecturer in Irish History at Hertford College, University of Oxford from 2016 to 2018. Conor has been at King's College London since September 2018, where he teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate modules in modern Irish and modern British history. His research interests include the Irish revolution, Irish nationalism, and Protestantism in Ireland, with a particular focus on Protestant nationalists—individuals who opposed unionist politics and joined separatist organizations. He also explores the Home Rule Question and the Northern Ireland Troubles.
