Professor Constantin Coussios OBE FREng FMedSci has been the Statutory Chair in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oxford since 2011. He is a Professorial Fellow at Magdalen College. He has a rich academic background with degrees in Engineering from the University of Cambridge. Professor Coussios founded and leads the Biomedical Ultrasonics, Biotherapy and Biopharmaceuticals Laboratory (BUBBL), which comprises around 50 researchers in the Botnar Research Centre. Professor Coussios has received many accolades throughout his career, such as being elected a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, receiving an OBE for his services to biomedical engineering, and being awarded the Silver Medal by the Royal Academy of Engineering. His research interests extend to the applications of acoustics in therapeutics, fluid mechanics, and sports medicine, where he explores neuroimaging and injury prevention.
