Biography

Constantine Dafermos is a University Professor Emeritus in the Division of Applied Mathematics at Brown University, where he has played a significant role in advancing the field of applied mathematics. He has received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to mathematics, including being elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2001 and receiving the AMS Norbert Wiener Prize in 2016. As an editorial board member for several prominent mathematical journals, he continues to engage actively with the academic community.
