Biography

Corey E. Baker is an Assistant Professor in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Southern California. He holds a Doctoral Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida and has completed multiple Master's Degrees in Electrical Computer Engineering and Computer Engineering. Prior to his current position, he served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky, where he was recognized with the UK Inclusive Excellence Award for his efforts in diversifying graduate programs in Computer Science and Engineering. Baker's research focuses on network reconnaissance, exploring full stack systems for data authentication and dissemination in remote patient monitoring, smart cities, and other critical scenarios. He directs the Network Reconnaissance Lab, which aims to create applications that facilitate communication in areas with intermittent connectivity, ultimately helping to improve the lives of individuals in resource-deprived environments. Additionally, he has been actively involved in various academic committees and has received multiple awards, including the University of California Presidents Postdoctoral Fellowship and the McKnight Dissertation Fellow.
