Dr. Corina Andreoiu

Biography

Corina Andreoiu is an Assistant Professor specializing in Nuclear Science at Simon Fraser University. She holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Bucharest and both a Licentiate in Philosophy and a Ph.D. from Lund University. Her research focuses on nuclear science, particularly at the subatomic level. She conducts experiments that involve stable radioactive beams and investigates nuclear chemistry, including the processes that occur within stars, a field known as nuclear astrochemistry. Additionally, Andreoiu works with focal plane detectors to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of her research methods. Throughout her career, she has been involved in various academic collaborations and has contributed to several significant projects in the field of nuclear science. Her work continues to advance the understanding of nuclear processes and their applications in both academic and practical contexts.
