Biography

Corina Snitar earned her PhD in Central and East European Studies in 2019 from the University of Glasgow. Her doctoral thesis examined the 1956 student protests in Timișoara, utilizing fresh evidence gathered through archival research and oral history. This thesis was published in the Harvard Cold War Studies Book Series by Lexington Books in 2021. During her PhD studies, Dr. Snitar worked on a book project that explored women's experiences of repression in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, which was published by Routledge in 2018. Additionally, she holds a Master's degree in International Conflict and Cooperation from the University of Stirling and another Master's in Central and East European Studies from the University of Glasgow.
