Biography

Corine Boon is a Professor of Human Resource Management (HRM) specializing in people analytics at the Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam. She has obtained her PhD in Strategic Human Resource Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Following a post-doctoral period at Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management and Tilburg University, she joined the University of Amsterdam (UvA). Corine is the director of the Amsterdam People Analytics Centre (APAC) and a co-program director of the honours programme in Data Driven Management. Her teaching encompasses courses on people analytics, leadership management, and strategic HRM across MSc and MBA programmes. As an associate editor for the Human Resource Management Review, she is also actively involved in academic publication and has held editorial positions in several prestigious journals. Additionally, Corine is a member of the UvA Recognition and Rewards committee and contributes to various initiatives within the Academy of Management. Her research interests focus on strategic HRM, the impact of artificial intelligence in HRM, and the person-environment fit in workplaces.
