Biography

Corinna Frey-Heger is an Associate Professor at the Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University Rotterdam. She is a qualitative scholar with a focus on organization theory, especially institutional theory, practice theory, and pragmatism, to understand how organizations respond to grand challenges and wicked problems, such as global displacement. Her research particularly examines the dynamics of organizational responses to problems meant to be solved, and she has conducted ethnographic fieldwork in refugee camps in Rwanda and Lebanon. Frey-Heger completed her PhD at the University of Cambridge in 2018, and her dissertation titled 'Organizing Global Displacement: The Refugee Crises' won the SAMS Grigor McClelland Doctoral Dissertation Award in 2019. Since joining RSM in 2018, she has continued to explore pressing issues related to global displacement, climate change, and the impact of systemic challenges on organizational practices, including gender inequality in the workplace.
