Biography

Corinna Sorenson has extensive expertise in health policy, particularly in value assessment and comparative effectiveness research. Her research focuses on designing and implementing innovative, evidence-based strategies to enhance value-based health care, especially concerning new and existing health treatments and services. She examines the economic, methodological, political, cultural, organizational, professional, and legal factors that either support or hinder the adoption of these approaches. Currently, she serves as the Faculty Director for Graduate Education Initiatives in the Margolis Scholars Health Policy Management Program at the Duke-Margolis Center for Health Policy. Sorenson also has a rich background in consulting, having worked in senior positions within both the private and public sectors, providing advisory services to governmental organizations across various nations to develop health technology assessment systems.
