Biography

Corinna Sorenson is an Assistant Professor at the Sanford School of Public Policy, Duke University, where she is also a core faculty member at the Duke-Margolis Institute for Health Policy. She specializes in population health sciences, focusing on value assessment in healthcare, comparative effectiveness research, and the evaluation of health policies. Her work examines the economic, methodological, political, and institutional factors that either facilitate or hinder the adoption of innovative health services and treatments. Dr. Sorenson is committed to developing strategies that enhance value-based healthcare, particularly concerning new and existing treatments. Furthermore, she has a strong background in health policy management and education, serving as the Faculty Director of Graduate Education Initiatives at the Margolis Scholars Health Policy Management Program. Her prior experience includes significant roles in both the private and public sectors, advising on the development of health technology assessment systems in various countries.
