Cornel Bogle’s research and teaching focus on Caribbean, Black, and diasporic literatures and cultures, utilizing research-creation and creative writing methodologies. He serves as the Book Reviews Editor for the Journal of West Indian Literature and co-edited a special issue titled 'Recognition and Recovery of Caribbean Canadian Cultural Production.' Bogle is engaged in exploring Caribbean archives and diasporic memory through lyric poetry. He has published in various literary platforms and presented readings across Canada and the Caribbean. At Simon Fraser University, he teaches topics including Black Caribbean literatures, decolonial literary studies, diaspora, transnationalism, and creative writing. Originally from Kingston, Jamaica, Bogle earned his BA from the University of the West Indies and both an MA and PhD from the University of Alberta before joining SFU in 2023.
