Adjunct Associate Professor Cornelia Chee graduated from the National University of Singapore, where she later obtained her Master of Medicine in Psychiatry in 2001, earning the Book Prize in Psychiatry. She qualified as a specialist in Psychiatry in 2004 and completed a clinical fellowship in Women’s Mental Health at the University of Toronto from 2006 to 2007. In 2008, she returned to Singapore to establish the Women’s Emotional Health Service at the National University Hospital. Currently, she serves as a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at the Department of Psychological Medicine at NUS and is the Head of the department. Professor Chee has special interests in women’s mental health, particularly perinatal psychiatry, general adult psychiatry, and community psychiatry. Beyond her clinical duties, she is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate psychiatry education and has been recognized as an excellent teacher at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Additionally, she is a longstanding member of the Adult Protection Team taskforce under the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF).
