Biography

Corrinne Harol is a Professor in the Department of English & Film Studies at the University of Alberta. Her academic focus is on Eighteenth-Century Literature, with particular interests in secularization, politics, gender, and authorship attribution. She specializes in the restoration and literary culture of the long eighteenth century, exploring intersections between literary, scientific, political, and religious discourses. Harol's scholarly activities include serving on the advisory board of the PMLA journal published by the Modern Language Association, known for presenting significant essays in language and literature to thousands of educators and libraries globally. Additionally, she is the Literary Director of the Orlando Project, an initiative that marries text with technology to enhance critical literary historical research. The project fosters a growing knowledge base of women's lives and writings, contributing to the academic training and development of future generations of students.
