Biography

Corwin Zigler is a Professor of Biostatistics at Brown University's School of Public Health, where he serves as the Director of Biostatistics. His research focuses on quantitative methodology for evaluating the health impacts of environmental and climate-related exposures. He specializes in causal inference, particularly with a focus on spatially-indexed data, spatial confounding, and interference networks. Additionally, his work involves the physical process modeling and Bayesian methodology, integrating statistical methods with epidemiology and large-scale computation to understand how environmental and climate policies affect human health. Before joining Brown in 2024, Dr. Zigler held faculty positions in the Department of Statistics and Data Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin and in the Department of Biostatistics at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed his Ph.D. in Biostatistics at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2010.
