Biography

Cory Kegerise is a preservation practitioner with over 20 years of professional experience in public, nonprofit, and private sectors. He is currently the Cultural Resources Project Manager and Lead Architectural Historian for the Amtrak ADA Stations Program, which aims to make Amtrak stations universally accessible by the end of the decade. Previously, Cory served as the Manager for History Preservation Assistance Programs in the Interior Region 1/Northeast Region of the National Park Service, where he managed programs including Park History, National Historic Landmark, and National Historic Lighthouse Preservation among others. Before joining the National Park Service, he worked as the Community Preservation Coordinator for Eastern Pennsylvania with the Pennsylvania State Historic Preservation Office and was the Administrator of Local Preservation Programs for the Maryland Historical Trust. Throughout his career, Cory has also been the Executive Director of the Elfreth’s Alley Association in Philadelphia and has worked as a historic preservation consultant. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and has served on the board of the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions for nine years, including a term as Chair.
