Biography

Courtney Taylor Browne Luka is a lecturer in the Psychology & Neuroscience Education Hub at the University of Glasgow, where she completed her undergraduate degree, MSc, and PhD. Her doctoral research focused on the role of social connectedness and support in relation to loneliness and trichotillomania, a body-focused repetitive behavior characterized by hair pulling. Browne Luka's research interests span mental health, body-focused repetitive behaviors such as skin picking and hair pulling, and grounded cognition within the context of social connectedness and support.
