Craig M. Crews is the John C. Malone Professor of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at Yale University, where he also holds joint appointments in Chemistry and Pharmacology. Crews graduated with a BA in Chemistry from the University of Virginia and received his PhD in Biochemistry from Harvard University. He has been a faculty member at Yale since 1995 and is known for pioneering the field of chemical biology, specifically in the area of small molecules that control intracellular protein levels. His research interests include methodologies that allow exploration of new areas in cell biology, particularly through the development of PROTAC technology, which facilitates targeted protein degradation. Crews is actively involved in academic and community initiatives and has ongoing commitments to mentoring the next generation of scientists.
