Biography

Craig Fox is the Harold Williams Chair Professor of Management at UCLA Anderson School of Management, with joint appointments as a professor of psychology in UCLA College of Letters and Sciences and professor of medicine in the UCLA Geffen School. He co-founded the Behavioral Science & Policy Association and serves as co-editor of its flagship journal, Behavioral Science & Policy. His research focuses on decision behavior, particularly under conditions of risk and uncertainty, employing various research methods such as surveys, lab experiments, field studies, and neuroimaging. His work has been published in leading journals across management, psychology, economics, law, and neuroscience. Fox's research explores the application of behavioral economics and social psychology to policymaking in both public and private sectors. He has worked on projects applying behavioral techniques to reduce the over-prescription of antibiotics, addressing the issue of antibiotic resistance. Since joining UCLA in 2003, Fox has taught MBA and executive courses in managerial decision-making, negotiation, leadership, strategy, and dynamic management, as well as Ph.D. courses in decision-making.
