Biography

Dr. Craig Goldie is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Queen's University and serves as the Interim Division Chair for the Palliative Medicine Division. He is a physician specializing in Palliative Medicine, dedicating his clinical service primarily at Kingston General Hospital and the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario. Dr. Goldie completed his medical training at Queen's University and furthered his education with a family medicine residency in Vancouver, BC, followed by a fellowship in Palliative Medicine. In his roles, he oversees the Palliative Medicine Residency Training Program and is involved in enhanced skills programs focusing on Adult Palliative Care subspecialty training. His research interests include early palliative care, stigma associated with palliative care, the integration of technology in clinical settings, cannabis use for symptom management, and the application of psychedelics in addressing existential distress. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Goldie is married to Dr. Katie Goldie, an assistant professor at Queen's University's School of Nursing, and they have four young children and a golden retriever.
