Biography

Dr. Craig Misch graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 1985, where he was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He obtained specialty training in prosthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh and received certificates in prosthodontics and oral implantology, earning a Master of Dental Science. Following this, he was appointed Co-Director of the University of Pittsburgh Oral Implantology Center. Dr. Misch completed specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Pittsburgh and is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He practices as a dual specialist in Sarasota, Florida. Additionally, he serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at both the University of Florida and the University of Alabama in the departments of periodontics and prosthodontics. Dr. Misch is a member of the editorial boards for Implant Dentistry, the Journal of Oral Implantology, and the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry. He has published extensively, with over 40 publications and 18 textbook chapters. Furthermore, Dr. Misch is actively involved in clinical research and is a member of the Clinical Needs Advisory Board for the Michigan-Pittsburgh-Wyss Regenerative Medicine Resource Center. He lectures on topics related to reconstructive surgery, bone augmentation, implant surgery, and prosthodontics.
