Biography

Craig Moyes is a Reader in French and Quebec Studies at King's College London and serves as the Director of the Quebec French Canada Research Network (QaFCaRN). With a strong academic foundation including a BA in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of British Columbia, a DEA in French Literature and Civilization from the Université de Paris III, and a PhD in Comparative Literature from the Université de Montréal, he has published extensively on literary and cultural history, specializing in 20th and 21st-century Quebec, early modern French literature, and literary theoretical discourse. In addition to his teaching commitments at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Craig engages with public scholarship through contributions to dictionaries and media outlets, including the Cambridge History of French Literature and BBC Radio. His research interests include literary cultural history, Quebec studies, and he actively supervises PhD students focusing on early modern literature and Québécois literature and culture. Craig is also a member of the CRIST (Centre de recherche interuniversitaire en sociocritique des textes) and has developed numerous publications and collaborative research projects that examine the intersections of literature, culture, and society in Quebec.
