Biography

Craig Tschautscher is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is passionate about providing high-quality prehospital care, particularly in the areas of retrieval and transfer medicine. Dr. Tschautscher is dual boarded in Emergency Medicine and EMS, having completed fellowships in EMS and Prehospital Research as well as Aeromedical Transport. He has earned a Diploma in Retrieval Transport Medicine (DRTM) from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, where he also serves as an examiner for the DRTM examination. In addition to his clinical role as a Flight Physician with UW Health Med Flight, he holds several leadership positions including Medical Director for Berlin EMS and Southern Green Lake County Ambulance, and Director of Prehospital Resident Education. Dr. Tschautscher is also active in the Air Medical Physician Association, currently serving on its Board of Trustees.
